Padouk is a medium dense wood with a bright red/orange color that deepens to a beautiful burnt umber color with age and exposure to sunlight. All wood types are available for right-handed and left-handed users.

The blade is made of the finest-quality, high-carbon steel with a flame-hardened edge. The cutting edge is scalloped with a double bevel to maximize the cutting surface and retain sharpness. Only the tips of the blades ever touch the cutting board. The rest of the blade stays sharp for many loaves to come.
